To uplift the living standards of the farming community, emphasis is given on increasing productivity and self-employment in agricultural sector.
a) The Department has distributed 650.00 Qtls. of HYV Certified Paddy Seeds during Kharif season among 6500 Nos. of farmers @ 10 Kg. per farmers covering an area of 13000 Bighas at free of cost.
b) Total 1071 Qtls. of Certified Mustard Seeds distributed among 71400 Nos. of farmers covering an area 9520 Ha. at 100% subsidy.
c) Total 600.00 Qtls. of Dhainsha (Green menuring Plant) Sees distributed @ 10 Kg. per farmers among 6000 Nos. of farmers at free of cost.
d) Total 4440 Qtls. of hybrid Maize Seed distributed among 14800 Nos. of farmers @ 3Kg. per farmers covering and toal area of 14800 Bigha at free of cost.
e) 4030 Nos. of sets of Rain Coat distributed to 4030 Nos. of small and marginal farmers at free of cost.
f) Total 3255 Nos. of Hand Sprayer were distributed to 3255 Nos. of farmers @ Rs.150/- as farmers share only along with 2000 lit. of Bio-pesticides which were distributed to 5255 Nos. of farm families at free of cost.
g) 5 (five) Nos. of Kishan Mela cum Exhibitions were held in four Districts of BTC.
An amount of 11.00 Lakhs (Rupees Eleven Lakh) only was given to the Bodoland University for conducting an course of Post Graduate Diploma in Bamboo Industrial Utilization of North Eastern Region.
